Tiny Sleepwalker

I wish, Oh I wish I could take a picture of this!

We believe Sydney is a sleepwalker! No joke. Just about every night in the middle of the night, she'll get up and go into Ian's room; close and open doors, play with the monitor and just walk around aimlessly. The very first time this happened, I woke up in the middle of the night to Sydney standing in the middle of Ian's room with her blankie over shoulder, nukkie in her mouth and two nuks in her hand and saying "Nukkie?", "Nukkie...." as if she was calling for it. I went in there grabbed her and brought her into our bed. Where she tossed and turned for an hour and then what I believe was to wake up finally and tell me she wanted to go "night, night" which she was referring to her bed. Strange. So David witnessed it for the first time the other night when we put her to bed at 7:45 and she got out of bed around 9:45 and went into Ian's room - closed doors and played with the monitor again! David went into Ian's room, grabbed her hand and gently led her back to bed where she turned over and went to sleep. He didn't say anything and she didn't say anything either. Typically she would say something like "Hi Daddy..." or "Ian..." she said nothing. I am not sure if she really is - but I think so!! Now I have to look into what we do if anything to not disrupt her during these episodes. My fear is that Ian's room is right by the stairs. I once read you are never to wake a sleepwalker. We'll see! What next!?!? Never a dull moment around here.

Super nice here in Wisco today...have a great day and open that sunroof on the way home!

Ciao,
K
