Our Girl: Princess Sydney

Okay...so...first things first...it's rare that when we pull the camera out, Sydney turns on her smile. This picture is so great. I think it really shows her true colors. Sweet, sassy, mischievous and silly all in one little smile and head tilt. We had a great morning dressing her in her dress up princess clothes and high heels.

On Sunday, April 5th Sydney attended her FIRST friend birthday party! Her friend Ellie just turned 3 and like most girls at that age, is obsessed with princesses. So her mom went all out and the party was beautiful! The cake was a castle and the kids made their own crowns. Gift bags were complete with costume jewelry and magic wands! WOW! Thanks for making Sydney's day so magical and a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU PRINCESS ELLIE!!

Miss Independent Princess: Sydney Jane. I think she was annoyed that I kept following her around with the camera, barely allowing her to play. She sat across the table from me during cake and ice cream! She didn't want to share a piece with me and most certainly didn't want to sit on my lap. :( She did great though. After she was done...she set her fork down, picked up her wand and said..."All Done!" Then back to strutting her princess stuff. OH - have I mentioned she's only 2!!!!
Ellie had a pinata too! A Cinderella pinata! Full of goodies! So here is Sydney...decked out and with her "buckers" that she got from the pinata explosion. She can pronounce sucker...but much prefers to call them "buckers". You go girl! I love you my sweet princess Sydney!

Ian starts his new school tomorrow. We call daycare school. I want the kids to get used to the idea of going to school. I never did until it was too late!! He's going to be at the same daycare as Sydney now. Which I am really excited about; however, I am going to miss him being at his sitter, Kerry's house. It's sort of a catch 22. As much as you know it's good for them and your situation, you hate to disturb something that worked so well for so long! Thanks Kerry for the months of daily attention, love and care you gave Ian - he is going to miss you so much! David and I are so appreciative of everything you have done. So - big thanks and lots of hugs and have fun in Palm Springs! You deserve it!
Have a great night and a wonderful week!
L,
K
