So after failing miserably to resolve to the endless "lose baby fat" battle, I resolve to have no resolutions this year. Maybe for once I will do it!! Ha!
No but really, someone once told me that if you do something for 28 days straight, it becomes a habit. So I thought...why don't I work out for 28 days straight and then it will become this habit, this obsession that I have created and I will NEED to do it!! No chance. I did well the first three days. David was an awesome sport about it, pushing me to go, reminding it's alright for him to watch the kids, etc. Then Sunday came and honest to gosh I had zero time. First of all, we have no workout equipment at home. So I rely on the YMCA. Well the Y doesn't open until 10:00 AM on Sundays, I had to pick my brother up at 10:35 from the bus depot to try and make it to my Dad's in Grafton by 12:00 Noon. Okay...so I'll do it when we get home thinking we would be home around 4:00 ish or whatever. No. We got home (my brother dilly-dallies) at 7:30 PM. Both kids conked out, my brother missed his bus and the rest is history. So after only working out for those three days, I really felt the desire to work out on Sunday. I was mad that I couldn't do it! More mad that now I have to add this to the list of resolutions that haven't been successful. Maybe I should resolve to eat a whole bunch of chocolate a day. Something like that would be more attainable for me!! Then my friend said to me: "Don't be so hard on yourself!" Well that's just like feeding the bear...I was like..."Yeah, Katie don't be so hard on yourself!" So the last 4 days I haven't been so hard on myself and haven't worked out! Haha! How's that for will power. Mind over matter....er...wait...how does that go again??
Ah, yes...pictures. I'll get there.
Ciao,
Katie
